Easy Bread Box Plans

I was recently asked to make another bread box and figured i would make two this time as well.

The lift type lid allows easy access and the box size provides for large quantities of bread products to be stored. The box allows air to circulate around the bread so that it receives less moisture than it would in a sealed bag. The style and design of this wood bread box will add a pleasing focal point to your kitchen counter top. It was pretty much a one man shop and the owner built primarily oak face frame cabinets.

This particular bread box is based on one of the more common designs and is therefore easier to build than one with a roll top lid. Both side panels have been routed 3 4 by 3 8 deep all the way around and all the other pieces fit in to the sides. Because i was making two i decided it would be best to use two different construction techniques. It is one of those easy projects that will take just as long to make an extra.
