The rubber rug bottom seems pretty rugged. I added some velcro to the bottom of the foot pedal and have solved the problem with the kick drum moving all the time. The reason for this is that velcro is made up of tiny little plastic hooks which are specifically designed to adhere to material much like carpet. I am definitely happy with this purchase.

I tried adding additional velcro but that didn t stop it. I ll have to get another one for my acoustic kit. The black widow drum rug does include velcro as well as marking strips that help you set up the same way at every gig. The rug may look a bit thin but it is well made with quality materials.
